Sloan Museum Auto Fair 2010
Special Guests
Jack ‘Doc’ Watson
It would take an encyclopedia to list all of Doc’s accomplishments. Many know him as the ‘Shifty Doc’ of HURST Corporation and Hurst Olds 442’s, but that’s only scratching the surface. Working with virtually every American auto maker over the past several decades, he has been responsible for 86 special vehicle programs and over 186,000 very collectible vehicles.
A profile inventor, ‘Doc’ holds 67 patents. The JAWS of Life Rescue Tool takes its name from Doc’s initials and is a product of which he is very fond of.
For over 50 years he has been a major influence in the speed world, working with Mickey Thompson, Carrol Shelby, the Petty’s Roger Penske, the Ramchargers and nearly every top name in racing. He has been inducted into 22 Halls of Fame. Doc is truly a living legend.
Don’t miss this chance to meet him. Both he and Linda Vaughn will be available (Linda Sunday only) for autographs during the 37th Sloan Auto Fair.
Miss Linda Vaughn
Linda Vaughn has been a fixture at auto races and car shows since the mid-sixties. She holds many titles, but she is best known as ‘Miss Hurst Golden Shifter.’ She has been a trophy queen at just about every major automotive event including NASCAR, Indy, and Formula One.
